Wasps are mean!  Mommy and I were outside playing today and a mean old wasp came over and stung me on my chest.  Can you believe that?  I was in my pool playing and wasn't even bothering it, but it had to pick on me anyway.  I started screaming so Mommy ran over and grabbed me then started running inside.  As we were running inside Mommy looked at the top of my head and the darn wasp was staring at her!  Of course she swished it away, but it still didn't make me feel better.  Once we got in side Daddy got the cornstarch so Mommy could make a paste and put it on the sting.  They're not sure exactly why it helps, but they think it could neutralize the venom.  All I know is that I started to feel better.  Then Daddy gave me some Ibuprofen to help with the swelling and stuff.  The upside to this is that I got to watch TV.  I don't get to do that much, so that was a plus...right?  After I went down for my nap, Mommy went out and killed all of the wasp nests under the deck.  She tried getting all of the wasps she could, but there was only one guarding each nest.  Mommy doesn't like to use poisons so she just used the hose to knock down the nests and then she smashed them with her foot.  She said that works well for the wasps too because when they're wet they can't fly.  Today she got rid of a total of 12 wasp nests of varying sizes.  2 were on the deck and 10 were under it!  Thank goodness she didn't get stung.  She decided that each morning or each night she's going to go around and check for wasp nests so that we don't get so many again.  Those 12 popped up pretty quick though, so she can't miss a day.  I just don't want to get stung ever again.

At least that's what Mommy and Daddy always tell me.  I'm really good at problem solving too.  For example...Mommy and I were in the car today and I wanted my window rolled down but I couldn't reach the button.  I was thinking about how I could roll the window down when all of a sudden the answer popped in my head!  My Foot!  I reached my big toe over to the button and held it down...It worked!!!  Mommy whipped her head around really quick to make sure the door didn't come open some how.  Then she rolled the window back up.  Of course, I wouldn't stand for that so I reached my foot over again and pressed the button with my big toe...then Mommy started laughing...she let me keep it down for a second, but then said a storm was coming so we had to close it.  Up the window went, over my foot went, down my big toe went and down the window went AGAIN!  I was not taking that as an acceptable answer so Mommy rolled the window up once again and locked it!  I didn't know the window could lock!  So now I have to find out how to unlock it.  My legs and toes aren't that long though.

We also went swimming today.  Peyton, Kassidy and Uncle Vince met us up at the YMCA.  It was so much fun.  Mommy and Uncle Vince were trying to teach me how to swim.  I can kick my legs and move my arms, but that's about it for now.  I don't know how to tread water.  Oh!  But they were trying to teach me how to float also.  I did pretty well, but I wouldn't completely relax so I would probably sink if they let go of me.  I can be dunked under the water and I'm fine.  That's pretty fun, but it takes me a minute to get the water out off my head so it stops running in my eyes.  Mommy keeps telling my to put my head back so the water runs off the back of my head instead of over my face, but I don't understand that.  I think it just exposes my face so that more water will get in my face.  We'll see.  Maybe I'll take swimming lessons next year.  That would be nice.

Mommy and I have really been working on sitting on the big girl potty.  I was really sure why I was supposed to sit there until today.  At 1:15 I was sitting on my potty chair watching Baby Signing Time...and I peed on my potty!  Yay!  Mommy was so happy!  She kept saying how proud she was of me and she even gave me a sticker!  I chose the letter W!  Mommy even let me carry the bowl part of the potty to the bathroom to empty it.  I even got to flush the toilet and watch it go bye bye!  That was fun!  After that Mommy made sure we washed our hands.  I bet Mommy can't wait until I do it again!  Me too because I really don't like wearing diapers anymore.  I want the big girl underwear on.  Mommy tells me that I can wear big girl underwear all the time after I empty my bladder on the potty.  I hope I keep getting stickers and maybe even some little toys!

I'm sure most of you have heard, but Mommy and I thought we would post it on here too.  Our wonderful Kitty, Hobbes, passed away on Thursday (05/21/09).  Mommy says it was so shocking because the vet just told Mommy 1 month ago how healthy the kitty was.  He had to take her blood before she had surgery to make sure all of her levels were okay.  When Mommy picked up the kitty the vet told Mommy that Hobbes had the blood work of a kitten...she was extremely healthy and he was very surprises because of her age.

Anyway, we will definitely miss her.  She loved to eat ice cream, lay on the back porch, cuddle (especially if you had a quilt on your lap) and so much more.
