Boy! So much in such a little time. I hope all is going swell with all of my fans out there. Everything is wonderful for me...
Well, except for my poor kitty. Hobbes had to have surgery. She had a big bump on her right side that Mommy and Daddy said she has hadfor a very very long time. Well, she decided to pick at it or something and ended up irritating it to where it was a big hollow round hole 1/2" in diameter. It wasn't bleeding though, so I guess that's good. Anyway, we first noticed she had an open wound on Easter, but thought it would maybe close up on its own. After a couple of days we realized that it wasn't getting any better, so Mommy called her (Hobbes') doctor. He said we should probably go ahead and remove it (he had seen her for it before so he knew what we were talking about) and he had an opening on Friday. She couldn't even eat breakfast Friday morning! Can you believe that? Not because she didn't want to, because believe me, she wantedd to eat, but because the doctor said she couldn't because for the surgery. Mommy dropped her off at Dr. Smith's office at 8:30 Friday morning and the nice lady said for Mommy to call them to check on Hobbes after 2:00. So, guess what Mommy and I were doing at 2:00 on the dot...Calling Hobbes' doctor! The receptionist said everything went great and Hobbes could be picked up any time after 3:00. Again...guess where Mommy was at 3:01...The Doctor's office!! Thank goodness for Grandma Rosemary because she came over the night before to stay the night so that I didn't have to get up early in the morning and go with Mommy to the Vet and later, when Mommy went to pick Hobbes up Grandma stayed home with me so that I could nap. Mommy said the doctor told her everything went extra smooth. He said the blood work they did before the surgery was suprisingly good for a cat her age. Everything was in within normal range except her platelet levels which were just barely, barely on the low side. He said he normally doesn't see those kinds of levels except in cats only a couple of years old. I guess Hobbes was blessed with good genes. It's now a couple of days after her surgery and she is doing wonderful! She is so full of love and wants to cuddle all of the time. Mommy takes her to get her stitches out on the 30th so she should be 100% back to normal by then. Hopefully her hair will grow back by then. That looks kind of silly. Hee hee.
I wanted to tell you about my baby (it's actually my doll). You will see her in a lot of my pictures because I just love her so much. Anytime I try to fight a diaper change or a nap or something Mommy and Daddy just tell me to ly down next to baby or that baby needs a nap. Once I realize baby needs it too, then I'm okay with it. She's just wonderful!
I saw a couple of Easter bunnies this year. We didn't make it to the Eureka Easter Party, but Mommy took me to see the Easter bunny at Chesterfied Mall, then I saw and Easter bunny at the bake sale for the Senior Center in Pacific. I really didn't like that one I didn't even want to sit on her lap. Oh well, maybe another time.
We had our 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunts at our house. The weekend before Easter is Grandma Georgia's side of the family and the weekend after Easter is for Grandpa Vince and Grandma Terri's side of the family. It's so much fun! I love it so much! So does Mommy, but I'm not sure about Daddy. Poor Daddy, Mommy has him running around like a crazy man to get ready for the parties and then to clean up from the parties. We had over 500 eggs this year! It's always fun to see all of my cousins and aunts and uncles, grandma's and grandpa and friends. The one we had today had to be done inside since it was rainy outside. Mommy, Vanessa, Linn & Heather took us all for a walk while everyone else hid eggs all over the playroom, dining room, kitchen, living room and back porch. They were EVERYWHERE! Then after we find all of our eggs we have to open them up to get the numbers or other stuff in them. When we're all finished opening the eggs, Mommy starts calling out numbers starting at number one and when you hear your numbers called that means it's your turn to pick a prize off of the prize table. As soon as we're finished with the prize table that usually means it's time to go since that's the last thing we do and it takes so long. I can't wait until next year!!
This next thing I'm going to talk about could be considered good or not so good. I see it as really good and that's all that matters...right? So, the big thing is...My Mommy gets to stay home with me every night instead of going to work! That is so exciting and I just love it! I hope it stays like this forever, but Mommy is busy looking for another job...well, that and going back to school. She decided that she wants to be a nurse! She told me that would be a secure job! Hee hee! Oh...but that's not why she's doing it...that's just a bonus.
I will talk to you all later! I love you!!!
