Happy April Fool's Day PDF Print E-mail

Hello there!  Even though it's April Fool's Day I will not try to fool you.  I know it's been a long time since my last post, but we've been very busy.  Mommy and Daddy finished the 1/2 bath finally!  It's been plain since before I was born.  The walls are plaster now, Daddy put up a new light and even put up white trim.  I think it looks so nice.  Mommy is so happy.

We finally had the guy over to do the BPO yesterday.  He was only here for 5 minutes to take pictures.  I know it wasn't a full in depth appraisal, but all of that work for just 5 minutes of pictures.  Geez.  Oh well, at least it's finished and at least he was really nice.  He said we have a nice house and he complemented us on several rooms, so I guess that good.

Let's see...what have I been up to since the last time I posted...Hmm, Mini Preschool is going well.  I go every Monday now instead of every Friday.  It works out better that way since Lily doesn't visit us on Mondays.  Grandma Terri took me to Preschool and MyGym this past Monday.  She said I was so good and she was very proud of me.  So was my Mommy.  Hee hee!  Tuesdays and Thursdays we were going to MyGym, but Monday (I had a make up class) was my last day since Mommy isn't sure what's going on with her work.  Instead we are going to join the YMCA, that way I can do fun stuff there and Mommy can work out too!  It's about $20 cheaper/month too and we can go as much as we want.  It's going to be so much fun, I'm so excited.

The city we live in has a kids program once a month where we get to go play with other kids, do a craft or two, read a story and sing a song.  We went to that for the first time on February 17th.  We missed March because Mommy and Daddy were getting ready for the house stuff, but we do plan on going this month.  I had a lot of fun.

Mommy got her hair cut!  It happened on February 21st.  She told me that last time she got it cut was the day before Thanksgiving on the year I was born.  It's been over 2 years!  She was talking to the people at the salon about donating her hair to Locks of Love .  They asked her how many times she has donated...she said this time makes it 4 since 2001 for a total of 46 inches of hair!  Can you believe that?!  The people at the salon said that is twice as much than an average person can grow!  Mommy says it's a good cause.  She still has to mail in her hair this time and is actually thinking about donating it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths this time.  They are both great causes and we know the hair will get put to great use either way.  Maybe I will donate my hair as mine grows too!  That would be nice, hopefully mine will grow as quickly as Mommy's.

On March 8th (Grandma Rosemary's Birthday) we went to my friend Leta's 1st Birthday Party.  Mommy and I made cupcakes that look like Elmo!  That was so much fun.  Everyone loved them!  Maybe Daddy will put some pictures on here for you to see.  That weekend was the weekend Mommy and Daddy realized how big I was getting.  You see, there were extra cupcakes sitting on the stove...well, Daddy was in the other room and I decided I wanted one, so I reached right on up there and got it all by myself.  Daddy walked into the kitchen and found me with a half eaten cupcake.  I thought it was funny...until he took it away.  Hee hee.

Well, I think that's all I need to catch up on, but if I remember something I forgot to tell you I will make another post.

See you later alligators!

I feel so much better today, my throat isn't sore and my fever is gone, YAY!

It is also warm outside today! I love going outside, and it is so much nicer when I don't have wear my thick coat and gloves! I had lots of fun helping Mommy clean the porch, and Daddy turned on music that I could hear outside, so I could dance when taking breaks from cleaning! I hope it stays warm like this for a while. Now that the porch is cleaned up, next I want to help Mommy and Daddy repair all the screens that were broken in a storm that had REALLY LOUD WIND back in December.

Oh my goodness!  I've never ran a fever before and now I'm just feeling so poopy!  I've been whining all weekend and just not been myself.  Mommy thought I was warm when I woke up yesterday, so she took my temperature and it was 102!  She thought that was wrong, so she took her temp (which was normal) then took mine again and it was 102.5! My Daddy had to come home to go to the doctor with me because Mommy's car was in the shop getting new breaks.  By the time we got to the doctor's office they took my temp again and it was 103.9!  My goodness!  No wonder I didn't feel well!  We had to see Dr. Carney since Dr. Killian was home sick.  He was nice and looked for birdies in my ears and looked at my eyes, then looked in my throat and thought I had strep throat, so he stuck a long stick with cotton around my throat and tested for it.  But it wasn't strep so he thinks it's the flu!  He said I'll probably be running a fever and out of commision for 4 to 5 days, but since it's a virus they can't do anything.  Hopefully I'm better by Friday because if I'm not, I have to go back in.  The good new is that I'm perfectly fine when I'm taking Motrin or Tylenol; however, when it wears off my fever shoots up again and I start whining since I don't feel well.

Mommy told Lily's mommy I was sick, so I won't have anyone to play with this week.  Cry But at least she won't get sick.  I would feel so horrible if she got sick!  That's okay, I'll get to play with her next week again!

I love to help Mommy and Daddy do all kinds of things.  My new favorite thing to do is Grocery Shop!  It's so much fun.  Mommy and I went yesterday.  She tells me what we need and I get to find it!  I get to pick out the bananas I want, then we go to the apples and oranges and I get to pick those out too along with one or two new fruits I would like to try.  This week I picked out Kiwi, Cantelope and a Pear.  Mommy says I've had cantelope and a pear before, but it's not one that we get every week like apples, bananas and pears.  I got to try the kiwi last night...Mmmm, that is so good!  I can't wait to get more.  The only thing is, they are very fragile and you aren't supposed to squeeze them.  Ooops.  After we were finished picking out the fruit we went to the deli counter and a nice lady asked us how she could help us and I pointed to what I wanted...Mommy told her how much we wanted and then...She got it for us!  That was so nice of her!  I'm such a good shopper.  I do have a few rules like don't touch anything unless Mommy says it's okay and I have to hold onto the cart unless Mommy asks me to get something.  It's so much fun.  I can't wait to go again!
