I went to the dentist!  Mommy and I had an appointment together on Monday January 11th.  I did very well, for my first visit.  Mommy asked me if I wanted to go first or if I wanted her to go first.  I chose to go first, so Mommy stayed in the waiting room.  Everything went smooth...well, until Linn (the dental hygeneist & Jack's mommy) wanted me to lay back in the chair so that she could shine this big light in my mouth.  That's where I drew the line.  I didn't scream or anything...I just wouldn't lay back.  The good thing is, Linn was so nice that she didn't even push me.  Mommy said I did a good job just going back there all by myself and maybe next time Linn and the dentist can look in my mouth.  Then...after my turn was over, I sat very nicely while Mommy got her teeth cleaned and flossed.  I'm such a good girl!

So I'm finally in preschool!  That's regular preschool, not mini-preschool...although, mini-preschool was nice too.  Mommy and I got to meet my teachers, classmates and tour my classroom on Tuesday, December 22nd.  Mommy got to see me interact with the other kids and see how I follow directions.  It was so much fun that I didn't even want to leave!  My official first day was on January 4th.  Mommy drops me off at 8:30 and picks me up at 11:25.  I'm doing so well!  I talk about school all of the time and ask Mommy when I get to go back again.  I really like my teachers and the other kids too!  Mommy says that makes her so happy!  My teachers tell Mommy that she can stop by any time that she wants.  She can stop by to help out or just to say hi and observe.  That makes Mommy really happy.

I've been wearing big girl underwear at home for about a week now, but when we leave the house or go to sleep, I put a diaper on.  Well, on Monday I came home with a dry diaper because all of my friends us the big kid potty so I did to...so on Tuesday, January 5th, I asked Mommy if I could wear big girl underwear to school...well, SHE LET ME!  I was so excited!  Mommy was even more excited when I came home in the same pants I went to school in.  That means...I DIDN'T HAVE AN ACCIDENT!  Mommy & Daddy were so excited!  I even went to school on Wednesday without having an accident!  I guess I'm pretty much potty trained!  Yay!  Now, if only I could keep my diaper dry during nap time and overnight.  We will get there some day.  I'm growing up so fast.

Happy New Year! PDF Print E-mail

I made it!  I was able to stay up and ring in the New Year with Mommy and Daddy!  I fell asleep at about 10 minutes after midnight.  Hey, at least I made it!  And before I fell asleep I got to make some noise with Mommy.  Daddy thinks Mommy is silly because she bangs wooden spoons on metal bowls and yells, "Happy New Year!"  I thought it was fun, but I was so tired that I wouldn't hit the bowl.  The neighbors set off fireworks and yelled too.  It was fun to watch!

The next night, Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jim came into town.  We met them at Grandma Terri's and Grandpa Vince's House for dinner.  All of my aunts, uncles and cousins were there (except for Uncle John and his family, but that's another story)!  We all haven't been together like that in a really long, long time.  It was so much fun and so nice.  We stayed soooo late, but I was such a good girl even though I was tired.

Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jim stay with us when they are in town.  That's really neat!  I enjoy having people stay the night.  That...and...I absolutely LOVE them!  Mommy kept smiling at me because I would just run up to Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jim and give them hugs when they would least expect it.  Aunt Bobbie even let me sit on her lap and cuddle her while she was on the couch.  When they weren't here I would ask Mommy and Daddy where they went.  I even wanted to call them on the telephone when they weren't here and I hate the telephone!  They left Monday afternoon.  I'm so glad they stayed until I got home from school.  We even got to visit more, after I got home and Grandma Terri even came over.  Mommy says we are going to go to Kansas to visit Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jim when they move into their new house.  Which should be some time in April.  I can't wait!!  I love to visit them!!

Christmas! PDF Print E-mail

Merry Late Christmas!  Mommy was so busy with school this year that I almost didn't get to visit Santa.  Thank goodness a nice family in Pacific arranged for him to visit them and shared that with everyone in the community!  I got to say hi to him on December 23rd.  I put my pretty Christmas dress (from Grandma Terri & Grandpa Vince) on and said, "Hi."  But I would not get near him.  Mommy had to coax me over there and stay with me.  She said that's okay...although, she would have liked to get a picture of just me and Santa...maybe next year.  Santa's elves were giving out candy canes!  They were all so nice!

Christmas Eve was spent at my Grandma Terri's and Grandpa Vince's house as usual.  We go there every year and it's been fun so far.  There are a lot of kids in the family so we get to play a lot.  That's fun, but so is all of the candy and cookies that Grandma Terri puts on the table.  It's all within my reach...just the way I like it.  I didn't want to eat regular food because the sweets were so good.  Every time Mommy or Daddy would think I was playing with the other kids I would sneak back to the table and get more sweets.  YUM!  Maybe next year I will have more control.  We'll see.

Christmas Day was so wonderful!  We took forever to open all of the gifts because I wanted to play with each one as I opened it.  I got this Leapfrog Tag pen that is really neat!  It talks when I touch a page in one of the special books.  I also got a couple of board games that I love to play!  Mommy loves this because she always enjoys playing board games.  Daddy also made a ham and Grandma Georgia came over for dinner.  That was really nice!  After dinner we went to Uncle Vince's and Aunt Renee's house to exchange gifts.  They gave me a computer game that has stuff to hook up to the computer and play...I love, love, love it!  We gave Katelyn something to look at the stars, but we couldn't use it that day because it was so cloudy.  We gave Kassidy an electronic chess game and Daddy taught her how to play chess.  He said she did a very good job and he didn't even take it easy on her because she was really good and he didn't need to.  Brock got a fishing pole because Uncle Vince loves to fish, so that is something they can do together.  Peyton got the movie Matilda, but hasn't watched it yet.  I hope she likes it.

All in all I was pretty into Christmas this year.  I bet I will be into it even more next year!!
