Hi!  It's me again.  I keep telling myself I'll stay current on my postings, but I always forget.  I guess it's because Mommy and I are so busy.  That will slow down now though.  Well, probably after Thanksgiving.  So much has happened since my last posting, I'll try to remember everything.  I love keeping you all up to date.

Jake and Hoss went home.  I really like them and miss them.  I hope they get to come over and play again sometime soon.  I was really impressed with them.  Especially around Hobbes.  It took a while before Mommy and Daddy would let her out around them, since they're such big dogs, but when they did...everything was fine!!  Jake and Hoss are so loving!

We're sneaky!  On October 18th my Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jim came into town thinking we were having a family reunion, but instead Grandma Terri, Grandpa Vince and Mommy threw them a surprise party.  You see, Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jim got married August 31st (I think that's the date), they had a destination wedding and honeymoon all in one, so we thought we'd throw them a surprise party to celebrate.  It went over very well.  They were so surprised and had no idea what was going on.  Hee hee, it was so fun!

The following Friday, October 24th, Eureka had a halloween party at the community center.  Boy was that fun!  We didn't have my butterfly costume yet, so Mommy put together a quick costume for me.  She dressed my in white pants and shirt, put bunny ears on my, made a bunny tail out of cotton balls and safety pins, then made my nose pink with lipstick and finally drew wiskers on my face with an eyeliner pencil.  I was so cute, if I do say so myself.  When we got here, I made a pumpkin button to wear on my shirt.  then we played a couple of games.  I was pretty good at putting the bean bags in the ghosts mouth, but I couldn't quite reach the pumpkin to pin the nose on it.  They had caramel apples to eat and cookies to decorate and eat.  I even won a door prize.  It was a bag with candy and toys in it.  We had so much fun.  I can't wait to go to the Christmas party!  I'll get to see Santa!

On Halloween I got to go around to doors, ring the door bells and ask for candy.  I didn't quite understand why people kept trying to put things in my butterfly purse, but I let them.  I was a little shy here and there, but when Mommy told me they had something to put in my purse, I was usually okay.  We walked around the block.  Mommy said it was good exercise.  I walked most of the way.  I would have walked more, but Mommy thought my legs were probably getting tired, so she carried me a bit, then let me walk a bit and then carried me again.  That was nice of her.  Daddy was great too.  He took lots of pictures for you to see!

I promise I will post more often.  It won't be another month until I give an update.  Maybe a week, but not a month.  Laughing

Big Girl Potty and Visiting Dogs! PDF Print E-mail

Mommy got out the "Big Girl Potty" on Sunday.  She originally got it out for Peyton, but I was very interested in it, so Mommy let me sit on it.  I've been sitting on it a little bit each day...Mommy has been trying to find things to keep me busy while sitting there.  It's fun...sometimes we'll just talk or the dog will come over so I can give her a hug...or sometimes we work on my letters, but a lot of the time I will read a book.

I really love books!  Oh and puzzles.  They're my favorite right now.  It only took me a couple of days to master the one puzzle I had, so Daddy (he's the best!) got me 3 other puzzles!  Oh and they all talk!  Well, all except one.  But it's pretty neat! But back to the potty now...I have to tell you that I actually went pee on the big girl potty today!!  Yay!  Mommy got so excited and gave me big hugs and I wasn't really sure what she was doing or why...but maybe I'll figure it out over the next few months or so.

We have 2 guest dogs at our house right now.  They're really nice and I love them so much.  They're names are Jake, a Golden Retriever and then there is Hoss, a Chocolate Lab.  And before you ask, just because he's chocolate doesn't mean you can eat him.  He's not that kind of chocolate.  Tongue out But they're visiting us for a week and a half until their family gets back from vacation.  I think Karana likes having them over to play too!  She seems to have more energy.  I just don't think the cat likes it.  I'm not sure if the doggies like the cat or not, but Mommy and Daddy aren't taking any chances so she stays in the basement when the dogs are inside, then she sleeps in Mommy and Daddys bed at night...like usual.  Mommy tried taking Hoss on one of our walks, but he's a lot stronger than Karana so we decided not to do that anymore.  He still gets to run around in the yard though, so they still get their exercise.  One of the best things about them is that they are just at my height, so when I want to give big hugs or kisses I just walk right up to them and throw my arms around them!  They're so sweet!  They go home in a few more days and I think I'm really going to miss them.

Well, I guess I better go to bed now.  I'm sorry my updates have been so spaced out.  I'll try to post more frequently.  Talk to you soon!

Here's an interesting example of our media, who employ market analysts who "know the market better than the average person", showing the headlines for the same story changing as the day went on. I wish I had a job that I could make things up ahead of time, be wrong, and just change it to fit the current conditions ... my comments in red (click thumbnail to enlarge):
