Today was a fun day. Grandma Rosemary, Mommy, Katelyn, Kassidy and I went to Grant's Farm for the day! It was so fun. We saw bird show that also had a pig and goat in it. Then we saw 2 HUGE elephants! Oh and we saw 2 tortoises they were really nice. One of them even let the lady that worked there rub his neck. It was so cute, he stretched and stretched so she could get the spot he wanted her to. I got to feed a camel and goats! The camel was really nice, he was very calm and just appreciated the snack.
There was a mean teenage boy there. Mommy told him to knock it off and be nice. He was throwing food at the camel and hitting him just below the eye. I guess he was showing off for his friends, but that's not nice. And can you believe his mom was standing there and didn't even say anything to him! Well, he stopped and they didn't stick around too long after Mommy corrected him. I just wanted to give the camel a kiss.
I guess the most difficult event of the day was feeding the billy goats. We did that first. Everything started out just fine. We went in the exit because there were all kinds of goats near the entrance and we didn't want to get swarmed. One big goat jumped up on Grandma and almost knocked her down, but Mommy shewed him away. Then I went in and Grandma helped me feed one goat. He was pretty nice. Then Mommy and I found a nice calm goat that was lying down all by himself and we decided to pet him. He was so neat. He let me touch the horns on his heat and scratch him behind his ears. Then another goat came over to Mommy and tried eating her shirt so she had to stand up and shoosh him away. And then all of a sudden Mommy looked down at me and my hand was in another goats mouth and the silly goat was chewing on me! I think I may have had some milk left on my hand or something. I don't know, but it hurt! By the time Mommy noticed what was going on it was too late. The goat had already bit me and I was bleeding. I cried really hard at first, but Mommy hugged me and immediately took me to First Aid to get it sanitized and all bandaged up. It looked like I had 5 razor cuts on my two smallest fingers on my left hand. They're still there, but it's not too bad. Mommy did call my doctor when we got home, just to let them know what happened and to see if there is anything we should do. He said just to keep an eye out for signs of infection. Mommy felt so bad, but I hugged her and stopped crying. She knows that's my way of saying that everything is okay. I'd like to go back again. Maybe next time we can go with Daddy!
