Oh! My leg!...or Ankle!...or Foot! E-mail

Or maybe it was just a muscle.  Mommy and I had a pretty bad morning last Wednesday, January 21, 2009.  It started around 8:45 or 9:00...we were emptying the dishwasher out and putty away all of the dishes like we normally do.  Well, I guess we dripped some water on the floor because the next thing I know I was on the floor with my right leg all twisted and under me in a wierd way and my left leg kind of twisted, but not under me.  Boy did I cry...For two and a half hours straight I cried and was cranky.  Mommy tried giving me some Tylenol, but that didn't help.  I just wanted her to hold me and carry me everywhere.  Finally Mommy had to go check on Baby Lily, (that's my knew friend) she was sleeping in the living room,  so Mommy put me down on the couch in my playroom and went over to check on Lily.  I, of course, started crying.  I wanted my Mommy!  So, I decided to follow Mommy, but since I hurt myself I decided to crawl.  Mommy found me crawling through the kitchen and asked me to stand up so she could pick me up (and I think she wanted to see me walk, since I hadn't since I fell), but I didn't want to.  So Mommy picked me up and tried to set me down on my feet, but as soon as I put pressure on my legs and feet I started crying and fell to the ground.  Mommy tried this time and time again and even tried to fool me by putting toys and things that I wanted across the room so that I would run to them or at least walk to them...but again, I crawled.  By this time it was about 11:45 or so and Mommy was starting to get worried so she called my Daddy to talk about it.  He said we should call the doctor, so Mommy called Dr. Killian's office and the nurse said we should probably come in.  Mommy asked if they were going to do anything that Mommy couldn't just check at home and she said yes, they would need to X-ray it since I haven't put any pressure on it since I fell.  Mommy called Daddy and he came home really quick so that we could all go together.  Then Mommy called Sarah, Lily's Mom, to let her know what happened and that we were all going to go to the doctor's office.  Sarah offered to have someone pick Lily up really quick, but Mommy didn't think that was necessary, so we all went to my doctor.  We we got there they sent us downstairs to get an X-ray.  Boy!  I did not like that and I started screaming and not cooperating at all!  Mommy and Lily had to stay out in the waiting room, so it was just me, Daddy and the Radiologist. My Right Foot! Mommy heard me crying and wanted to come back there so bad, but the lady at the desk said no.  They needed an extra set of hands to help hold me so they called down a nurse from Dr. Killian's office.  Then Daddy asked if I could sit on a stool or something, instead of lying down and that worked!!  Ok...now that I've gone through all of that, nothing was broken!!!  Yay!  The nurse practitioner said maybe I pulled a muscle and that it should heal within a week or so.  Sure enough...I'm all better now!  Yay!  That was scary, though.  I hope it never happens again.

Oh and I just noticed that there aren't any pictures from January on here yet.  I think my Daddy is working on that, so you'll get to see some soon.
