I started Mini Preschool on Friday, January 16th. Mommy and Daddy like to joke around and call it Pre-Preschool. I'm not sure what to think of it just yet, but I hope it will be lots of fun! My big sister, Karana, had surgery on January 8th. We dropped her off early in the morning and got to pick her up at 4:30. She was so happy to see us and I was happy to see her. She's so wonderful. She had to have a big growth removed from her mouth and while she was their the doggie dentist cleaned her teeth too. It's a good thing because her breath was really stinky. Her doctor called Mommy this past Saturday to tell her the lab results from the growth. He said it was a mild form of cancer, but doesn't think it spread so we just have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't come back. Now we just have to figure out what is wrong with her ear. She goes in for a check up on the 23rd, so hopefully the doctor will be able to tell us something. I went with Mommy to her tooth doctor on the 14th. I was such a good girl. Peggy (the nice lady cleaning Mommy's teeth) got me a little chair to sit in and I stayed there almost the whole time. Mommy brought books for me to read and it was almost lunch time so Mommy brought me a snack too. I was watching what they were doing to Mommy and it didn't seem too bad, so Mommy hopes it will help me when it comes to be my turn. They say I should see the dentist when I turn 3. I'm pretty excited because they gave me a cool pink toothbrush and some stickers. Mommy had the idea to do a dental themed birthday party for my 3rd birthday since that's the time we should go to the dentist for the first time. She thought we could give toothbrushes and toothpaste and all kinds of tooth oriented stuff as goodies. Daddy told Mommy she was silly, but who knows...it's still almost a year away. Oh...we've been going to the Magic House a little bit lately...it's so much fun. They added so much more to what was already there. I think everyone should see it. There are 3 whole floors! I think they said 25,000 more square feet! Can you believe that? They have a new cafe so you can have lunch there. Although, that only happened once because Mommy is a lunch packer. She usually packs my lunch because it's cheaper and more healthy. I'm okay with that...for now. But when I get older I may not like it so much. We'll have to wait and see. We're still going to MyGym every week and I'm really picking up on everything, but I won't do it there. I'm not too sure about structured play with other kids. When it's circle time I just want to run around and play, but Mommy tells me I have to learn how to follow directions so I have to sit there even if I don't do everything they do. I still have to watch. When I get home...that's a whole new story. Mommy does the same stuff with me at home and I love it! Maybe it's the more one on one attention that I like, I'm not sure. As time passes I guess I'll start listening to Ms. Claire, Ms. Lisa and Mr. Mike. We'll just have to wait and see. Mommy and I found a really neat website! It's supposed to help me learn how to read. Mommy is so excited about that and I just love the website. It is www.starfall.com we're working on the ABC's at the moment. You should go there and check it out. I've told all of my little friends about it so hopefully it will help them learn how to read too. You see, it's not boring like Mommy. She tries to work on my ABC's with me by using flash cards, but that's not too fun so I usually don't listen very long. But this website is fun! It has animals and plays music and sounds. It's just really neat and it keeps my attention. Tell all of your friends! See you later alligator!
